The United States concluded a significant deployment of offensive forces in the Gulf region to deter the escalation of conflicts to a secondary front in the surrounding areas, such as Lebanon, Syria, or Iraq.
The Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier strike group, dispatched to the Middle East three weeks ago and having trained with the Gerald R. Ford strike group in the Mediterranean Sea, has now reached the Arabian Sea, positioning itself approximately 300 kilometers from the Iranian coast.
The U.S.S. Eisenhower, equipped with numerous fighter jets, is accompanied by two missile destroyers, a missile cruiser, and an advanced submarine. Together, these vessels are armed with hundreds of cruise missiles capable of targeting various locations in eastern and central Iran.
Meanwhile, the U.S.S. Ford, operational off the coast of Cyprus for the past month, includes several destroyers in its strike group armed with Tomahawk missiles capable of hitting targets in Western Iran, Syria, and Iraq.
Adding to the naval presence, the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit is stationed in the Red Sea. Additionally, two weeks ago, in support of the deployment of F-16, F-15, and A-10 fighters in Jordan and the Persian Gulf, two B-1B Lancer bombers arrived at the Incirlik Air Base in Turkey, near the Syrian border.
